Finally it’s ‘Kandein Kadhalai’ for Bharath’s remake of ‘Jab We Met’. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the original version in Hindi fetched the best accolades on various panoramas. Indeed, it happened to be a ducky piece for both Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Moser Baer had bought the DVD rights of ‘Jab We Met’ from Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd in 2007.

Later, witnessing the grand success it had got the remake rights of the film and the first option was to feature Dhanush-Trisha in lead roles. Unexpectedly, the duo couldn’t make up due to busy shooting schedules and finally Bharath - Thamannah was zeroed down. On the pars, buzzes were that Karu Pazhaniappan would be wielding megaphone for this remake and later ‘Jayam Kondan’ fame Kannan was squared up.

With various titles rolling on their papers, ‘Raja Rani’ was preferred by the entire unit. And now, the film rechristened as ‘Kandein Kadhaliyai’ would be launched on March 11, here in Chennai.
